The Simon & Sylvia Zisman Seashore Gardens Living Center is an independent, nonprofit home for the aged in Galloway, NJ. We offer a continuum of services from assisted living to short- and long-term nursing care, Alzheimer’s care, respite care and rehabilitation all under one roof. Guided by Jewish tradition, and dedicated to enriching elder lives, we have proudly served our community for more than 100 years.

We started in 1916 in a small home in Atlantic City’s inlet section. At the time, we were known as the Hebrew Sheltering Home of Atlantic City. The Home provided kosher meals and temporary housing for the poor, but soon transitioned to serve a greater need to care for our elderly. Over the years, we’ve grown in services and location.
Today we are on a 20-acre campus in Galloway, New Jersey. We offer a continuum of services from assisted living to short and long term nursing care, Alzheimer’s care, respite care and rehabilitation all under one roof. We designed our beautiful Home to be family-friendly with a Boardwalk café, putting green, theater, and more to encourage visitors, and a home-like environment for residents. Seashore Gardens Living Center has become the example for other nursing homes, and we’ve received visitors from as far away as Japan hoping to duplicate what we’ve done in Galloway.

The Simon & Sylvia Zisman Seashore Gardens Living Center (Seashore Gardens Living Center) is a nonprofit home for the aged, guided by Jewish tradition, law and charity, and dedicated to enriching the quality of life for each of our residents. We continuously strive to provide the finest quality of healthcare and supportive services. We remain proactive in meeting the challenges we face with the understanding that we are in existence for our residents.
Our Vision
Here at Seashore Gardens Living Center we envisioned a beautiful and comfortable place that our residents could call home, and feel at home. We sought to create a welcoming atmosphere that would encourage visitors. We put in place services to meet the dietary, healthcare, social and emotional needs of our residents as they age to enhance the quality of life. As a result, Seashore Gardens Living Center has become the example for other nursing homes, and we’ve received visitors from as far away as Japan, hoping to duplicate what we have created here in Galloway.
Our Values
According to Jewish tradition, the care of our elders is among the holiest of our obligations. Individually and collectively, it is our responsibility. We care for our elders because we care about them. While we are guided by Jewish tradition at Seashore Gardens Living Center, all faiths are welcome.
