Meal time is a social event here at Seashore Gardens Living Center. Our residents are seated with friends at family-style tables in our dining room. They enjoy three meals a day and snacks prepared by the dietary team. The tastes of our residents drive the dining experience. Substitute meals are always available if a resident does not prefer what is on the menu. Special diets are accommodated.
High Quality Kosher Dining
Meals at Seashore Gardens Living Center are made “from scratch” using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. We are a kosher home and all meals are prepared in strict accordance with Jewish dietary law. That means that dairy needs to be separated from meat, and that certain foods are not allowed in the home, such as shellfish. The staff is creative, however, in finding kosher substitutes, such as imitation crab, for recipes that may call for non-kosher ingredients.
Meet Jill LaBoy
Food Service Director
An accomplished chef, Jill received her training at the Academy of Culinary Arts and worked for several years in gourmet restaurants at the Atlantic City Hilton. She joined the staff of Seashore Gardens Living Center over a decade ago, after working in food service in healthcare. Jill enjoys the close-knit family atmosphere at Seashore Gardens Living Center, and likes making a difference in seniors’ lives. She makes it a point to learn their names and food preferences. “If my mother or father were here, this is how I’d want them to be treated,” she says.
Private Parties & Catering
Families may hold their own private parties in beautifully appointed rooms that are reminiscent of home entertaining. You can’t bring in outside food, but we have an extensive catering menu and can do everything from a casual brunch to dinner with white glove service. Our catering services and private parties also are available for area businesses and community members. For a tour or for more information, contact Seashore Gardens Living Center at (609) 404-4848.
